2017 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony/Varsity Club Tailgate
Four new members, including three alumni, were inducted into the Kennesaw State University Athletics Hall of Fame the evening of Friday, Oct. 6. During the ceremony, held at Embassy Suites in Kennesaw, KSU alumni Cliff Brannon ’92, Caric Martin ’76 and Jolene Morris ’90, along with longtime supporter Skip Spann, who is deceased, were honored as class of 2017 Hall-of-Fame inductees. The following day prior to the Owls’ 48-3 football win, the Varsity Club hosted a tailgate party for the honorees and their families, as well as all former student-athletes and athletic personnel from both Kennesaw State and Southern Polytechnic State University. Brannon (baseball), Martin (donor), Morris (softball) and Mrs. Ilyene Spann, Skip’s widow, also were recognized on the field at Saturday’s football game.
