Basketball Receptions

In early 2017, the Kennesaw State University Office of Alumni Relations, along with President Samuel S. Olens, hosted alumni and friends from four colleges to cheer on the Owls at three home basketball games. Special receptions featuring food, drinks and great company took place before the start of each game at the KSU Convocation Center.   

College of Science and Mathematics at Men’s Basketball

On the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 25, KSU Alumni Relations and President Olens welcomed fans from the College of Science and Mathematics to enjoy a men’s basketball game. The Owls responded with a come-from-behind 71-65 win over New Jersey Institute of Technology in ASUN Conference play.

Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Men’s Basketball

KSU Alumni Relations and President Olens invited guests from the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology to the men’s basketball game with the University of North Florida on the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 18. Again, the Owls posted an ASUN Conference victory (85-68).

 

College of Humanities and Social Sciences/WellStar College of Health and Human Services at Women’s Basketball

The final reception with KSU Alumni Relations and President Olens, for members of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and WellStar College of Health and Human Services, was held the night of Monday, Feb. 20 prior to a women’s basketball game. Despite the Owls losing to Jacksonville University, one of conference’s best teams, they had already clinched hosting an ASUN Championship tournament game for the first time.
