Russell ’92 chosen as honorary inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma
Mike Russell ’92, a member of the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association board of directors, was chosen to be this fall’s honorary inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma by KSU’s Coles College of Business.
“I feel so privileged to be selected as the honorary inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma,” Russell said. “Having owned my company for over 15 years, and winning many company awards, this induction is my personal honor to be listed among the highest in academic and standards excellence. Not only is Beta Gamma Sigma the society of high achievement, but it is a beacon of things to come.”
Beta Gamma Sigma is an honor society whose members have achieved academic excellence in business studies. Founded in 1913, the organization is the exclusive international business honor society accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.
Besides being a director-at-large for the KSU Alumni Association, Russell remains active with Kennesaw State as an advisory board member for the Coles College of Business and as chair of the executive advisory council for the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship Center.
“I currently stay involved by serving on three boards at KSU,” Russell said. “This allows me to work closely with the KSU staff and faculty and learn the needs of the students. I believe in the future generations of KSU students and look forward to passing on my experiences to help them grow and achieve their own successes.”
Kennesaw State’s Fall Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. inside the Burruss Building on the Kennesaw campus. Along with Russell’s honorary induction, many of Coles’ highly accomplished juniors, seniors and graduate students will be recognized.
Russell founded Elite Telecom Services in 2002 before rebranding his Kennesaw-based company to ETS Solutions in 2014. He is a certified telecommunications professional who received his Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State after earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Russell is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Cobb.
