    Francis "Frankie" Brown, B.S. '20

    Francis "Frankie" Brown, B.S. '20, was presented with the Harris Lowry Manton LLP's third annual Civil Justice Scholarship. Brown was selected from a pool of 150 applicants and received a $5,000 academic award designed to support aspiring attorneys.

    Joanne M. Thurston, B.B.A. '85, was one of 24 people recently selected by the Treasury Department to serve on the national Taxpayer Advocacy Panel with a goal to identify and make suggestions to improve the International Revenue Service.

    NeCall Wilson, M.B.A. '16,  recently co-presented a panel session titled, "Overcoming Barriers to Naloxone Access in Rural Community Pharmacies" at the RX Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit.

    Patricia Chourio, M.A. '15, has launched a social enterprise, The World's Corner, which partners with women artisans from ethnic minority groups in Southeast Asia and Central America to promote conscious consumerism and preserve traditional crafts.

    Robert Thompson, M.S. '06, earned the title of Senior Systems Management Analyst at Optum in Atlanta where he works in IT on banking, mortgage, software, and training fields.

    Steven A. Ellis, B.S. '03, will become as full-time prosecutor for the municipal court in Sandy Springs, Georgia as of April 2021. Ellis served as an assistant solicitor general with Cobb Country for the past nine years.

    Suzette Pinnock, B.A. ’04; earned Masters in Special Education and Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University, Fairfax VA, May 2020 and Master’s in Government with Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from Regent University in Virginia Beach VA, Dec.2019.

    Sydney T. Green, M.D. '20, earned her MD from The Morehouse School of Medicine and began her residency as Children's Hospital of The King's Daughter in Norfolk, Va.

    Dr. Tracy Nichols, B.S. '99, was recently awarded the 2020 USDA Animal Planet Health Inspection Service (SAPHIS) Scientist of the Year Award for her work on chronic wasting disease in deer and elk.
