Kennesaw State University Alumni Association elects newest executive board members

KENNESAW, Ga. (July 1, 2020) — Kennesaw State University Alumni Association recently elected five new executive officers to serve beginning July 1.

The KSU Alumni Association’s newest officers were voted by the organization’s 24-member Board of Directors, which works to build and support connections among alumni, students and the University.

The new officers will lead the all-volunteer organization for the next two years:

President – David McKoy, ’05, a retired Georgia educator, previously served as both vice president and director-at-large for the Alumni Association. He earned a master’s degree in quality assurance from Southern Polytechnic State University, after serving 22 years with the U.S. Marine Corps. He joined the SPSU Alumni Association in 2012, the same year that his daughter, Tiane, graduated from SPSU, and subsequently served two terms with the association. Before his retirement in 2019, he taught at KSU’s Marietta Campus and Allatoona High School.

Vice-President – Tanjalon Solomon-Lewis, ’02, an information technology business consultant with WarnerMedia, earned her master’s degree in information technology from SPSU. Solomon-Lewis joined the SPSU Alumni Association in 2014, and she has served as a director-at-large and, for the past two years, secretary for the association.

Martin earned his associate degree from Kennesaw Junior College before earning accounting and MBA degrees from the University of Georgia. Martin is an avid supporter of KSU Athletics, where he serves on the KSU Athletic Association Board of Directors and has endowed a scholarship for men’s basketball.

Secretary – Victoria Beber, ’18, joined the KSU Alumni Association as a director-at-large upon graduation, and currently works as a service associate in operations at Morgan Stanley. She earned her degree in marketing and served as Student Government Association president for two years.

The Kennesaw State Alumni Association’s board of directors supports the initiatives of the University and serves the alumni of the University by representing the perspectives of a diverse alumni community from both sides of KSU’s legacy – Kennesaw State and Southern Polytechnic State University. Founded nearly 35 years ago, the association has more than 119,000 members across the country.
